Shipped updates (2025–2026)
Hairy and Scary (October 2025)
The first big seasonal drop added the AXL tarantula boss, new armor sets and a new building system. It was Grounded 2’s creepiest crawler yet.

Year-two roadmap (Fall 2026 → 1.0)
Obsidian’s year-two plan promises new mounts in Fall 2026 and a new region in Winter 2026, plus tier IV equipment, a tier IV Omni-Tool, mutations 2.0 and new creatures, bosses and Colossi — all leading toward the 1.0 release later in 2026.
Latest game version
The current live version is Into the Abyss 0.5.0.3. Obsidian regularly runs public tests of upcoming patches, announced on the official site and Steam, which is why some players get to try new content early.
