Grounded 2’s story is a mystery narrative. You are shrunk to the size of an ant in Brookhollow Park, where a shadowy entity is “always there — watching, learning, waiting.” The deeper you investigate, the closer it gets. Obsidian teases that the entity knows you’re looking, and it’s ready.

Act 1 in early access

The Early Access build contains Act 1 of the story. Story quests available so far include Egg Hunt, A Strange Warning, Wait, There’s More!, Overload! and Networking — with characters such as BURG.L, the Masked Stranger, and Sloane Beaumont appearing along the way. The full story completes at 1.0.

Story quests and characters

Quests send you across the park’s regions — Pine Hill, the Ceremony grounds, the Statue region and, since the Into the Abyss update, the underwater pond world. Key items like the Sizzling Key and the Network Center Access Pass gate major story progress. See the biomes database for the regions and the creatures database for the characters and bosses you’ll meet.

Campaign length (unconfirmed)

Obsidian has not published an expected campaign length. Early Access holds Act 1 with a large portion of Brookhollow Park, and 1.0 will expand the map and the story — see the roadmap guide.
